By which I mean: it's all well and good that you think the canon is problematic. Congrats on realizing it's sexist!

But here it is: you don't get to take the moral high ground if you don't do better in your fic.

Agreed!

I was actually just talking to someone about "virginity" and "virgin heroines" in regards to heteronormativity and how it makes no damn sense to value virginity so much (and to find it sexy, like, what?). Though we do unfortunately see where it comes from, why does it persist? Why do (too many) people want women to be moms, sluts or virgins? *hates*
