Awwww, wonderful. I love third view POV's, and this one deliver plenty. Very original, and the narrator's voice is just perfect.
I guess every Gotham tug as a story to tell about Bats (I love it, rumors, and second-hand, and scary batgirls...), but this one more than some. ^^

This guy? Wouldn't shut up about ALL THE BATS. On the one hand, cool; on the other hand, if I hadn't gently nudged him in the direction I wanted this to go, I would have ended with twice the word count. But I'd be complaining in bad faith, really. I love outsider PoV as well, and this was tremendous fun to write. (Every time I can have an excuse to mention Cass and Robin!Steph? I'll take it. So much.)

I enjoy stories pointing up how Dick is never afraid of Bruce, works with him while people wonder how he can, and, oh, yeah, the fringe benefits! Tee hee!

I love the canon that acknowledges that Batman isn't above threatening people with that.

Oh, thank you! It was difficult to judge whether smut (even just a little) would work in this context, so I'm glad to know it didn't feel tacked on.

I'm sure thugs have plenty of tales to tell. They see a lot. When they're not K.O. on the ground, that is.
