Gotham Knights was probably the first Batman arc I read and this fic was awesome.

Gotham Knights was probably the best Batseries ever published and I'm delighted you liked the fic. :D

Not what I had in mind, but sooo much better! To tell the truth, I didn't expect anyone to write this prompt, but you did it with such an amazing way that I'm out of words!

Seriously, I can't even describe how good this it. And since I'm a Babs fangirl, I love the last part with Roger and Drake. I just love it!

Whew! Not gonna lie, it's a big relief to know you liked it. I was looking through lonely prompts early this week, and I found this one, and the scenes that sprung to mind were... pretty much distilled angst.

Truth about Roger Gordon being here? The male/female ratio otherwise would've been too heavy on the mothers. I'm glad I did, and I'm glad I chose his PoV, because his character grew on me. And it let me get away with good ole Babs-fangirlism, which tends to slip into my fics when I'm not looking. ;)

Oh, this is fantastic. So chilling, too, a perfect story to read just as fall is approaching and Halloween items are beginning to appear on the shelves. The idea of the ghosts being tied to those they loved/that loved them, and being forced to appear every time that person thinks/dreams of them...wow. Brilliant. Thank you so much, this is one of the most unique, wonderful stories I've read in a long time.

My job here is done. (Mission: make Gotham/the Batfam's existence even bleaker than canon states, ongoing forever.) Have you read Death and the Maidens? Looking back, it's a major influence on this. It was one of the few (imo) truly successful attempt at making the death of Bruce's parents even worse. And there was the theme of parents, in that case Martha and Thomas, being horrified at what their son had done with his life.

I just can't let go of the theme of family and femily hurting.

Thank you so much for all your kind words, this review made my night.

ANy chance of an AU for teh first bit (finding out what Thomas and martha would have made of Bruce's brood if they'd been around)? Looks at everyone hopefully.

When I don't have ten WIPs on my plate... Then and maybe then I'll come back to this idea. Until then...

I'm not sure I caught all the references but I loved all the detail that went into this story.

I've been putting off compiling the big damn post of canon references for this one, because I realized since I posted it that I homage a lot more than just GK16; I should probably get around to doing that someday, shouldn't I?

Thank you for letting me know you still liked it.
