I re-did this picture three times until I was satisfied^^

For all you outsiders seeing this - we present to you: The Rogues Wars!
featuring (from left to right):
Piper as C3PO (his design took the most time)
Trickster as R2D2 (snarky, funny character....and he can fly)
Boomerang sr as Chewbacca (I regret nothing. He wouldn´t seem right until I added his stewardess hat)
The Top as Han Solo: clearly superior, dashing space captain of the Millenium Top
Golden Glider as Leia Skywalker: as the only female it wasn´t as if she had much choice - but we have sibling dynamic
Captain Cold as Luke Skywalker: Yes!
Weather Wizard as Yoda: green, shoots lightning......yeah - My wand you shall touch not!"
And Mick Rory as Lando Calrissian.....he is glad to have hair. And lots of it!
sorry for the quality, but due to the lack of a scanner I had to photograph it.

To be honest, the only characters that were really stuck were the Snark Siblings as the Skywalker Twins and Roscoe as Han Solo (the love interest).
In hindsight I realized that there could be so much more read into it (I haven´t taken the Literature clases with all those theories for nothing - I can interpret anything into any poem/novel.....I managed to convincingly interpret the Crusaders into "The Windhover" - beat that)
First, Names:
Luke Skywalker - Len Snart - L and S
Leia Skywalker - Lisa Snart - L and S
Just the name "Skywalker" - and Golden Glider - remember what she does? Skating on air (actually gravity-defying ice generated by her skates, but let´s leave out comic book science for now)

Then of course the sibling relationship:
If you´ve seen flash_rogues, you´ve probably noticed that Snartcest (apart from Piper and Golden Spin (or whatever we call the only heterosexual Rogues relationship) is the biggest ship there. And it is said that the first Star Wars movies also continued sexual tension, because Luke and Leia didn´t know they were related. (Well, I didn´t notice it - but then then I never pick up on things like that.)
Len is the boss of the Rogues nowadays, their pack leader. Luke is the protagonist.
As Johns wants to make us believe, all Rogues stories are about Len, he is the Rogue - leading character simile.
Roscoe, dear Roscoe - Han Solo, dashing space captain of the Millenium Falcon.
Rsocoe did launch a satellite into space, so he clearly knows his technology and Han strikes me as the expert on technology in the Star Wars universe.
Wit? check.
Love interest? check.
Superior to everyone else because I´m so awesome feeling? check.
Chewbacca - that just *fits*. Manners, communication, the bandolier (or as I call it: breast belt)
If I didn´t know from the Star Wars videogames that the Wookies use crossbows, I could believe that they use boomerangs. They have this primal, but effective feeling to them. Also, Chewie seems very focused on his drives - as is Digger.
And I could mention the hair part....until Digger gets a receeding hairline^^
C3PO & R2D2:
They two just belong together. The bicker, they snark but care deeply for each other at the same time. It´s usually R2 who gets both into trouble, C3P0 complaining all the way but they succeed in the end.
Also, R2D2 has shown flight capacity, seems to have a pretty innovative vocabulary (we only hear: "Deet" and so on while C3P0 understands what he´s saying), he is stubborn, knows his way....
C3P0 knows better than to let R2 drag him off to stupid, dangerous adventures, ye he always winds up at his side. When R2 is injured he volunteered to donate circuits for R2 and does care for the little rascal.
And now substitute R2 with JJ, and C3 with Piper and you have our guys (well...and replace "circuits")
Mark Mardon, Yoda...my original reasoning was "He is green...sorta"
Yes, that´s true - but as we learned from the prequels of the original triology, Yoda is a clever fellow who can deal with lighnting. He possesses great power, can manipulate almost everything with his wand (he has a wand, yes!). He first strikes us as a little daft, but then reveals that he has indded a brain under that hair.
Mick - Lando
I wanted to do the hair joke.
Also, he´s a Rogues who has gone straight for some time and Lando did cooperate with Vader for some time (although Lando was forced and Mick wasn´t.....unless you count the ret-con that Top´s brianwashing made going-straight a compulsion for him.)
And in the end they are all rebels - against the imperium, against the law.
They make their own rules, they stick together.
