Yeah, I have them on for rats too. I'm okay, nothing super interesting to tell. I have been trying to write a little recently and I always find myself going back to the rats prompt lists :) do you use whatsapp or telegram or any other means of communication more convenient than lj?
Not much interesting here either. I'm determined to get back to writing when kids are in school again though. Marty and I started working on a mobile game this spring and I've been mulling over thoughts of bringing prompts or writing to some sort of app.
I mostly use Line now for chatting since that's the most popular app in my current gaming circles. My id there is ul_kairn. I'm open to trying other apps too though.
I hurt my back late last year, hurt my shoulder at work in April and ended up on L&I for a full 3 months and am still on restrictions at work and can only work 4 hours a day and lift 10 pounds.
My mom passed away in June after months of going downhill and a whole bunch of issues with that. My sister and I had to put her into an adult family home because we couldn't take care of her anymore and she couldn't take care of herself. She had a habit of falling and once she was down, she couldn't get herself up and we couldn't get her up. We became well known to the local fire station and knew pretty much every single firefighter there. It was a bloody nightmare.
Whew. And there's several months left in the year.
The only positive in all this is I've been writing again. I did Camp NaNo in July and wrote over 50k and I've been working on some unfinished pieces for some of my RaTs canons, including one where Lulu finds out she's pregnant.
Oh wow, I'm sorry to hear that, it sounds like an incredibly rough year. I really hope things start looking up for you and I'm glad you're writing again.
We're just getting ready for school here. I can't believe I have a high schooler this year (I'm already beating my head against the wall with their special ed dept) and it's my last year with one in grade school. Marty had shoulder surgery in June and just got back to work last week. He's doing pretty well now, but we didn't do much all summer. I really want to get back to writing or programming or something once everyone is settled back in their routines.
