Unfortunately that's working out to be a common theme among my characters. They'll all have their day though! (Even if only in AUs.)

My heart's beating a little fast. Christ, what a terrible crushing memory that would make - the kind that springs itself on you out of the blue, when you're calm and thinking about nothing in particular.

Every sentence is interesting btw, including pure scene-setting and extraneous asides. Not every writer can say that.
