Genevieve's youth is indeed very messed up, but it is also great to read about. You always write these things so well. :-)

Thank you so much! :) NaNoWriMo starts tomorrow and I'm excited to delve into the ACTUAL canon but exploring the history/future of my characters has been fun.

Oh, hell. This wasn't the sweet romance I was expecting. I mean, it was better, but traumatic also. Even for the reader! Really amazing.

I feel awful for both of them, though. Beautifully 3-D real characters, with unexpected depths - I mean dangerous depths, like a lake or river. The sombre ending is very credible, bleak.

Wow, this is exactly the kind of comment I want to go to back to every time I'm having doubts about my writing. Really helps now that I'm in the thick of NaNoWriMo!

Gosh, thank you so much though! And thank you for reading! <3

!

Also, Genevieve bets he’s never cheated on his wife before, with the hungry look in his eyes and the way he looks faint when she touches him. - great line. Immediately vivid. Genevieve taking control has her personality flowering on the page, so much more than the meek abused girl she seems initially.

You have to feel a little sorry for the guy, it must be a little like being hit with a truck.
