Gah, I wish I could slap him too! Jack's kind of jerk, at least in this piece...I don't know if there's been a piece on it already that I've missed/haven't gotten to, but I'm really interested about how this goes from this scene here to (presumably) marriage...

LOl, well, he's that kind of Victorian who gets up at 5am, does at least 60 things before breakfast and then goes out to increase his fortune, so while his motives are good, his methods are a bit... brusque.

This is the first piece proper for them, but I wrote a FotD that takes place a year later here (but you already read that anyway).
