First, hello!

Second, I'm afraid I haven't read the entire piece as I ran out of time, but I will get to it soon, and post again.

Third, about the underlined piece, I think I see the problem Google is having. I just can't remember/decide if it's better to take out the commas, move the phrase "in awe of everything your father said," to the beginning, or just to set that phrase off by dashes. I'd try each of those and see what you think. I'm sure other people will have suggestions too.
