Definitely caught my interest, which is a good thing in a prologue. Wondering what the Black/White character dynamic is going to end up looking like...my guess is messy. XD

My novel is essentially two serial killers playing chess.

I've taken a map of a city, made it into a 8x8 grid applied a chess game to it. Each kill is a move on the board. I don't think a lot of my plot will happen on RaTs though.

That's a neat set-up! It's cool that most of it won't end up here...er, most of our writers' "plotty" stuff essentially doesn't, really. Myself included. XD
