Thanks! And that's my bet as well - kind of makes me regret none of my characters have pets in the story itself. They add heart.

At least maybe Natalie has an inkling that not everyone is the same as she thought now. That might help her in the future. Glad she found herself a feathered friend :)

Yes *grins* You've just picked up on one of her flaws - her culture's both insular and patriotic, so every so often she has to shake off her willingness to believe the worst of other people. The exposure to other cultures does her good!
