But at least Sage is better off in this AU, I guess. :(

Ugh, I KNOW, right? I think Ani and Sorin really are at this point. My brain's got a follow-up all figured out. We'll see if I write it.

Sage is and, in the end, Dean is too. Jakium probably too. Actually a lot of the cast probably gets off much easier in this one.
