I wouldn't say Sydney is callous per say, just a typical teenage girl who really doesn't want to upset the status quo too much and risk losing her spot in it. Though I have a feeling that Ian is going to play a bigger part of this whole thing than either of them really want.

I agree with Roisin's thoughts. Sydney comes across as a pretty typical teenage girl who is comfortable with her spot in the high school hierarchy and doesn't want to truly upset it, but still has enough principles not to let things happen without at least a couple words.

Somehow it doesn't surprise me that it seems Ian is more important than first look, considering he's now appeared twice! Very curious :D
