Of course Stella has to show up though her story is rather different and she is married to the guy who in canon is the biggest criminal low-life I can think of (and really, more into Hobbie than into Stella).

Wow, that's one hell of a first day on the job. The best part was him still calling her "Mrs. Doyle" the next morning. That and her just handing him a bat and telling him to hit her husband with it.

I'm still loving how you're working people into this and can't wait to see who pops up next. :)

I think I told you I was watching something months back that showed people watching Kennedy get shot and how I was amazed by the reactions because it was en par with 9/11, sitting in front of tv, trying to get as much info as possible. And I felt like I had to incorporate it.

Doyle is my go-to guy when I want to marry characters off. I don't even know why. I was trying to find someone for Stella and he seemed like the only option and they are both from Boston and he's supposed to be an asshole, so... Stella is very well-prepared for dealing with him.

I have a list of who needs to pop up. I think that's one of my favorite parts while writing this.

I remember that! I think it worked really well here, it gives the whole au a sort of grounding, otherwise I wasn't really sure when this was supposed too be happening.

I'm trying to insert a bit of that everywhere, bits and pieces, but this is the one I was the most worried about because I didn't think I'd be able to capture it all that well, so I'm glad it worked.

AHA! I thought that might be Stella, and of course these two can't get together in a completely un-screwed up way no matter what universe it is :P Poor woman! Good for her, getting out. So looking forward to seeing what these two get themselves into.

Stella! \o/ I like what you did with the assassination, and how that leads to Dennis and Stella hooking up. The progression was very natural. Also lol at what a non-threat Doyle turned out to be after the baseball bat XD

I ended up marrying her off to Doyle because I couldn't come up with anyone else. I could have interchanged it with just about everyone.
