Oh, that's wonderful. Everyone's felt that homesick feeling at one point or another, I thought you got it across well. I like these two! They've got a good relationship going. Great piece!

As for the double spacing problem, I've been having it too. What I've been doing is going to edit the post under the HTML option. There's a div HTML tag around my header. I found if you go in and delete the space between the tag and your first header sentence so they're right next to each other with no space between them than that somehow fixes all of the spacing in the post. Do I know why it fixes that? Hell no. But it's been working for me so I hope it works for you too! :)
