I find Maire very interesting, and I'm kind of wondering who's playing who in this scene (sorry, Geran, you're pretty arrogant yourself) and what her plans are - if she's looking for something more in Geran than just the social/political benefits that come from being with him.

Geran is totally arrogant. He either can't see it or won't admit it. As for Maire, she's become really interesting to me as well and I'd like to write more of her and get inside her head a little bit. Thank you!

Neither's meant to be really sympathetic. They ARE the bad guys. Maire's fun, though, and I'd like to write some more about her. Thank you! :D

Ooh, Maire seems intriguing. I also think that Geran isn't the only one being played in this scene... can't wait to see what comes of it.

I really don't know which of them has the upper hand in this scene, and I'd like to write some more about the two of them and find out. I'm glad it's intriguing :D Thank you!

I agree with the others, it's hard to tell who, if anyone, has the upper hand here. It's also interesting seeing young Geran compared to what he's like when older. Their circularesque conversation was done really well here. Oh, Geran, you're really not that special! :P

Very interesting situation. I'm not so sure anyone has the upper hand here, though they both clearly think they do. Maybe it's magic itself that has the control in this scene. Either way, this has the sense of developing into something that isn't going to go the way either of them intend it. Nicely done :)
