awww this is a strangely sweet moment between those two. Isaac needs to shake this inferiority complex of his and learning to read might help with that. As you said in the summary, Ashdown is nice in his very own way in this and the last line made me giggle.

Yeah, Ashdown is having a go at the whole 'nice' thing and Prowse does indeed have a bit of an attitude issue during this time... it was weird writing a piece in which Ashdown was probably the one being kindest, haha. Thanks!

This... is gorgeous! It's profound! I love the ineteraction here so much. The awkwardness each of them has at the begining seems to bring something out of the other, and that, in time, is the foundation stone which is going to make them both into the men that they are. Love it =D

Thank you! There are definitely shades of the men they'll grow to be in both of them here, and neither of them have a clue how much they both affect each other as they grow. :)

Hahaha, yeah, same-- especially the parts during which Ashdown is actually teaching Isaac about things like manners and diction. XD Thanks so much! Ashdown was even worse with people as a teenager so it's always fun to write a rare moment in which he's being understanding.

Awww, Ashdown! I love it when he's standoffish and yet weirdly understanding at the same time, and awww, he is being SO good to Prowse here. Lovely job!

Teenage Ashdown's attempts at being understanding are always fun-- and unusually, in this case Ashdown's attitude is a lot better than Isaac's. Thanks!

Haha, of course: Ashdown just keeps telling himself that Isaac is a useful asset and nothing more, and would probably be more useful with an education. Thanks!
