Thought this was really cute: l liked the way the journal entry read like the backstory in a story (it was a diary entry for someone to read in the future)--very unusual way to go about writing something--a fun and fresh new idea. Ena is my sister in law's name--I don't get to hear other people write or say it to much, kinda funny..

I've been interested lately in finding new ways to approach--approaching a backstory; this is a really good idea.

(Sorry for the belated responses...I'm perpetually behind in everything).

I like the idea of using a diary for dispensing narrative (it's one of the oldest literary devices). Writing a present day diary for your kids to read is the best form of time capsule because it helps perpetuate memory.

Thanks for reading. :)

the style of this is funny and interesting. Eva does sound better with Grace and names that are really popular are somewhat annoying when there's lots of people your age that have the same, I totally get Kelly's sentiment there.

It's always a struggle to come up with a name that is distinctive but not so distinctive that it creates trouble for the child. Popularity has its own problems, though...but Eva Grace does look good, and retains enough original flavor.

Thanks for reading. :)

Heehee! Very cute and interesting writing style. I like the reasoning behind ditching the various names (especially the long one) Very nicely done :)

D'awwww, this is adorable. I vote "Eva" personally because I think it sounds nicer, but Zoe Grace is lovely too. The kidlet's parents have good taste. :D

Good job.

I've been torn between "Eva Grace" and "Zoe Grace" for ages, but I think this story helped point me toward the first choice.

Thanks for reading. :)
