Pia gives really good advice though it is understandable for Ashdown to question how the hell his marriage can work if he's gay because usually, that's kind of a big obstacle. Their banter is great as always.

Yes, they find common ground, so that's one aspect of it that kind of works. XD But yeah, they care for each other in their own haughty ways, I think that's what really cements them together. :)

Heh, yeah. Divorces were pretty much out of the question back in the day, not without a ton of bullshit social stigmas going down, so I think he's pretty resigned to it. But of course, Verity takes it better than he thinks she will and I love how happy they are afterwards. Not always plain sailing, but happy. :)
