Title: Award Ceremony
Summary: Dale gets his Cy Young award.
Dale Levy stood beside his manager and coaches on the third base line of the Rogers Centre and looked around the stadium. It wasn't completely filled at that point but was slowly filling up. The noise and cheering was getting deafening as game time got closer.
The PA announcer started to speak and the crowd got quieter. Dale listened to the ceremony as it went by in a blur. He watched the video montage that played on the big screen and listened as the announcer listed off his accomplishments in the previous season.
"We present the American League Cy Young award to Dale Levy. Pitching coach Joe Rossi will now present the award to Dale. Congratulations Dale on your achievements."
Dale heard the cheering and clapping get louder and he saw his teammates start to exit the dugout. Dale walked over to the table where Joe was standing.
"Congratulations Dale, you've come a long way from that wild pitcher I first met," Joe handed Dale the award, while shaking his hand. They paused for the photographers to take their pictures.
"Couldn't have gotten here without you. Thank you," Dale said as he turned to the crowd, waving and tipping his cap in thanks for their support.
Dale was glad that it was his mentor, the one person who made him into the pitcher he was, who gave him the award. He would have to find a better way to thank Joe after. After the game Dale would have to ask the pitching coach what kind of car he wanted.
