Just echoing everyone else in saying that these little glimpses into the various characters' parenthood are wonderful. I like how the actions of the previous generations inform the actions of the next.

There's a line in a Taylor Swift song (shut up I love her) that goes something like "you say we'll never make my parents' mistakes," which was running through my head when I was writing this. Inheritence is a particular fascination of mine, and I think learning from the earlier generations is a part of that. Thank you!

Oh, the echoes. So wonderful. I should try this duel pocky format someday. I found Danny's especially striking, because dammit I KNOW that feeling...

I'm sorry you know Danny's feeling so intimately, but I'm glad this seems realistic to you! And yes, you totally should try the dual pocky format. It's awesome.

The Susanna section started out so sweet, and then when she said "Not tonight" I did a double take. WHAT. I can sort of see some of why Gina hesitated to come out to her parents. Dude. Also: Hello Yvonne and Rebecca, I did not miss you.

Luckily their daughters all turned out to be awesome. I'm sad that Elena apparently inherited Olivia's depression, but at least Olivia knows how to handle it so hopefully she'll get the help she needs and won't go through the same things.

And that last section: I am SO CURIOUS as to how the Caramel Project ends now!

"Loving but distant" characterizes Gina's parents pretty well, yeah. And yes, all of these children inherit their parents' awesome. :D As for Elena, it's not just her mother that she gets her depression from. It hasn't been as evident since it's mostly subsumed in his PTSD, but Jake suffers from seasonal affective disorder himself, and there are a lot of genetic components in depression.

Re: Caramel Project... *evil grin*

Thank you!

Augh, the line with Danny about how she'll never become her mother. That's exactly the reason why Sarah refused to be anything other than Aunt Sarah to Chloe. She didn't want to risk it.

Also, Yvonne, you suck.

AND OT3 EEEEE.

I love all of these :D

Children of abusive homes often don't want to repeat that cycle. Danny certainly doesn't, and she's afraid that she won't know any other way to parent her children. Which is something quite apart from simply not wanting them, which she also does, and then of course there's the worry that she could be a carrier for Michael's bone disease, and all in all Danny is never ever having children ever. Nope.

I think we're all agreed on Yvonne.

There will be LOTS more OT3. It's Sara's fault that it's canon, though, so blame her. :D

Thank you!
