Story: Blaze Mafia Family
Title: If You’re That Worried About It
Prompt: Chocolate #23: (in)security, Amaretto #8: open for business, Vinegar #20: best if used by + chopped nuts
Rating: PG13 for sexual references
Characters: Firebird Blaze, classmates
Summary: I am heartily amused by the idea of Firebird going to high school, but I just don’t see it happening because she threw herself into learning the family business as early and quickly as possible. Hence the wonders of an AU! Firebird is attending a prestigious private high school in the city. She’s not so much popular, as she is infamous. You can probably guess why. XD

“At this rate I’m going to die without ever even kissing a boy, much less actually doing it with one!” Delaney wailed to her best friend, Gina.

“If you’re that worried about it,” Delaney jumped and twirled around to see Firebird Blaze of all people addressing Delaney while putting her books into her locker three spots down. “Then you should just take matters into your own hands and hire someone.”

“You mean...like a hooker?” Delaney stuttered.

Fireibrd stuck a notebook into her bag, looking completely comfortable with the conversation. “Yes. Although if it’s going to be your first time, you should probably splurge for an escort. They can get quite expensive but they’re much more attentive to your unique needs.”

“And you know this from experience?” Gina sneered. Delaney gave her friend a desperate look. Where had that hostility come from and why was she aiming it at Firebird?

Firebird spared Gina a glance. Delaney was sure that this was the first time the mob heiress had ever paid any attention to two lowly CEO daughters, and Delaney had been just fine with being invisible to her. Firebird had this way of looking at people like she knew every one of their dirty little secrets. “As do you, Ms. Halsworth.”

Apparently that look wasn’t just a bluff. “What?” Delaney gasped, staring at her best friend, whose face was quickly coming to resemble a tomato.

Firebird pulled a scrap of paper out of her locker then wrote something down. “This is the number to an associate of my family’s that runs a business providing the services you’re looking for. Ask for William, he’ll help you figure out what it is exactly you’re looking for.” Firebird shut her locker and shouldered her bag. She handed the number to Delaney, who took it on reflex then wondered why she did.

“There’s nothing wrong with being proactive about getting what you want,” Firebird assured her, gracing Delaney with a friendly smile that Delaney was too overwhelmed to return.

“Bitch,” Gina finally snapped at Firebird.

“Yes,” Firebird agreed with the same pleasant smile. “See you both in class.”
