Ouch. Poor Eva. I like the way you have everyone talking about her and her feelings; they're not dismissing her or demanding that she change, they're saying that she's justified and just asking if she can change someday. A good way of thinking about it, I think.

Yeah, Sorin's of the opinion that he really doesn't have a leg to stand on, Carrie loves her mom, and the other two would just like to make this more pleasant in the future for everyone involved. Since Eva DOES have good reason to be upset, they know that they're not going to fix anything by pointing fingers.

I seriously adore Sorin, even though he did start the civil unrest and all that, so I can't help but be on his side... I like the glimpse at Eva's viewpoint though, and I just read the other two that came before this to complete it a bit more and Eva is really decent in that she doesn't ask Carrie to "stay away from Dean!", etc. I like it when stories have a nice bit of balance. :)

LOL, me too. Eva's being upset is not unreasonable, considering everything, but I'm Team Sorin (and so is pretty much everyone else involved, really, they just want to make this the least bad it can possibly be). Thank you so much! I'm glad the linked pieces helped you with context :D

I really like the friendship between Eva and Colin, how he understands that it's not fair to ask her to change but still trying to explain himself anyway, and then letting the conversation drift into more pleasant things. I also like how Eva does at least listen to what he has to say. It shows how much they respect each other.

Eva and Colin are great friends, and Colin is really good at reading people and trying to make the situations the least tense they can be. These two do have a lot of respect for each other, and he was definitely the best person to talk to her about this. Thank you! :D
