Mama coughed blood, and Papa took her to the hospital, and now Chrissy has six starving siblings and nothing edible in the house. They ate the last instant mac and cheese last night, and she doesn't have the heart to make Papa go shopping, not when he's so worried about Mama.
She scowls at the pantry. They have potatoes, and onions, and eggs. What can she make with that?
...well. Maybe she can fry the potatos... stir in chopped onions, crack a few eggs over the whole mess...
The resulting omlette disappears fast, and Chrissy has found a new calling.
