The pirates are spirited, but they only have rusty, cobbled-together vessels that they could steal or manufacture from things salvaged on the ground level. This puts them at a disadvantage to Newson’s warships-however, these warships could never catch the pirates until Ashdown came along with his tried-and-tested ship designs and knowledge of ocean warfare. Now that Ashdown’s in the game, there are more pirate causalities than ever: including men, women and children.
What’s right and what’s wrong? Out at sea, nobody cares-and in situations like these, nobody knows.
