well... not what I set out to write, not sure if it lost a bit of the fotd inspiration. Kinu was going to mock and threaten Tris, but well, he decided to be a little devious instead...
“Thinks he’s got you wrapped around his finger, does he?”
Tristan went perfectly still, spoon still poised over the steaming bowl in front of him. He stared at the soup rather than acknowledge the hand that curled around the back of his chair.
“I don’t know what he wants with you,” Kinu continued. “But I know where he found you.” Thick fingers drummed the wood. “Does he really think you won‘t go running back to your friends?”
Tristan gritted his teeth, barely blinking, as the man stepped away, his tone growing smug. “Such a pity Sethan’s lackeys always betray him.”
