Oooh. The first piece intrigues me. I think human Amber would have been much easier for Jaime to deal with, and reacted to Fei Amber similarly to how Jaime did. I'm curious about how there got to be two Ambers, though.

The second piece made me sad at first. My heart broke for Marcia, and for Tasmin. Then Ama was all "ISCARIOT I CHOOSE YOU" and I had to laugh. Good intuition on her part, since he saved them.

As for how there are two Ambers: Amber (our Amber, for all of it - she's the only Amber we ever see except for this scene and the lead-up to it) is a changeling; at some point she got swapped (by our own dear Jonathan) for a human girl who she looked and acted enough like to pull it off. Said human was pretty much a spare that no one really knew what to do with, while our Amber grew up thinking she was human and that the no-memories-before-the-age-of-seven wasn't really that abnormal, until she found out that she's only half-human and that she has to take over the world City. Which is the propulsion of the plot that brings us here ( ... )

Oh, ouch. Both of these hurt, especially the one with Ama and Tamsin swapping back and forth, although the one with the two Ambers is also really hard to bear because of that poor human Amber (THANKS, JONATHAN). Just. Really evocative, both of these. And as always, I am in awe of your language use.

Er. I'm sorry! But thank you. (They were supposed to hurt, but I still feel bad about it, but I'm glad that they worked. Er. Yeah.)

(THANKS, JONATHAN)
Jonathan says: ...You're welcome? (Tam says Pardon the idiot, here, he doesn't understand sarcasm. I says that without him we wouldn't have a plot, and it is his job, and -- wait why am I defending him)
