Summary: Bernard decides the fate of another demon.

Notes: It took me awhile to write this because I normally don't write dark. This is for the Summer Challnege: Necessary Evil
There are days where Bernard didn’t like being a leader. He didn’t know how Michel did it for so long. However, if it meant protecting his people he did it. Sometimes it took Bernard days to make a decision. Other times he didn’t hesitate.
“Do it,” Bernard said not missing a beat.
“Are you sure?” Lance asked.
Bernard nodded. “Yes, the wind demon that we caught sent Fire Demons over into the human realm to sell in the Black Market. I would love to beat the bastard myself, but I will give this one to Sofie. He can be her test subject.”
Lance shifted uncomfortably in his seat as Sofie’s blue eyes gleamed in excitement. “Can I do anything to him?”
“Yes, is there anything you wanted to try?” Bernard asked.
“Hmm, I have always wondered about a Wind Demon’s organs. I’m hoping to find out how they’re able to control the wind so well.” Sofie said.
“They’re connected to it, like how we control fire, but are you sure about this?” Bijou asked.
“I am. If I don’t give the demon to use in Sofie’s experiments, I’m going to follow the old demon ways. That means cutting his arms and legs off, slicing his throat, draining his blood, and mailing his organs to the current leader. I can always do that.” Bernard said.
“I say do it.” Colette responded. Her purple eyes twinkled in glee. “I always wanted to see the old demon ways. I only wish we could do it on humans.”
“Humans are too fragile. They break like a twig when you put the slightest pressure on their neck. I only read about this however.” Raynard quickly added.
Lance shook his head. “A human doing this is different, but do we really want to do this to a demon?”
“My mind isn’t going to change on this. Any demon stupid enough to try and kidnap my child to sell as a sex slave in the human realm does not exist to me.” Bernard replied coldly.
“I didn’t know he did that. In that case, I’m for giving him to Sofie.” Lance said.
“It’s unanimous he goes to Sofie. You’re so lucky. I wanted to blow him up.” Colette pouted.
“You’ll get your chance again.” Raynard said.
Sofie stood up from her chair. “I’ll go get my lab ready.”
Bernard leaned forward in the chair. “Don’t hesitate on using anything you want. If you kill him I can have someone clean the area.”
“No need, I have my own cleaning crew for when that happens.” Sofie said, walking over to the door. She placed her hand on the handle and turned to Bernard. “Tell everyone my lab is off limits today. “
“I will,” Bernard said.
“Thank you,” Sofie walked out and closed the door behind her.
Bernard sat back, tapping his finger against the table. “What else do we have for the day?
