Felipe's heart slams in his chest, blood rushing in his ears so loudly he can't hear the shouts crackling over his earpiece. His lungs burn, breath rasping in his throat; all he can see is those two little girls and all the blood, and the monster who did it getting away.
The asshole pauses to flip Felipe off, dancing and laughing hysterically. All that blood...
Everything inside him goes cold and quiet, just long enough for him to fire.
