So what’s today’s story? Can it be the one about when I was born?

That’s boring, James. I was only two then.

I heard you telling Margareta that you were still awesome even then.

When will you understand? I’m awesome one hundred percent of the time.

So can we do that story?

Oh, fine, if you insist, baby.

Brighton, I’m gonna tell Mom if you call me that again!

I’m only telling the truth, Jamesy. Anyway, do you want to hear the story or not?

Yes, please! Were you glad I was a boy?

Of course! Boy meant more trouble!

**

Once upon a time, there was an incredible kid and he had this brother, who was kind of cool, despite being a baby.

That’s not true!

What? That you’re kinda cool or that you’re a baby?

I’m a big boy too.

Do you want to hear the story or not?

No! Please tell me!

Okay, fine. So, the baby and the kid - quiet, James, you are such a baby compared to me - they decided that it would be really super awesome to be super awesome and have lots of hijinks.
I love this part!

James! Quit interrupting or I’ll stop!

So this awesome kid was still an awesome toddler when his parents came to him and said that he was going to have a little sibling. Now, the awesome toddler was a little confused by this and could not decide if he was a happy awesome toddler or an upset one. So he decided that the best thing to do would be meet this little sibling and then rate their awesomeness for himself.

After a very long time to the awesome toddler, his mom finally had the baby and it was a boy, so the awesomeness potential was decent obviously.

**

Did you really think I could be awesome, Bri?

Of course I did! You were like a little me, right?

Am I still?

Not really.

Oh.

Buck up, Jamesy! I already told you you were kinda cool.

But not awesome?

Maybe a little awesome too. Oh, stop that. Do you want to hear the story or not? So, continuing, the awesome toddler got to meet his brother and the baby cried a lot and did baby things and so maybe he wasn’t so awesome. But then! The awesome toddler realized he would grow up to be kinda cool. The end.
