While I don't agree with you about Dream Theater (ripping off? Come now, that's harsh and you know it), I agree that people are a bunch of fucking morons. I've got a few people that message me every time I come online, with absolutely nothing of any importance to say. I didn't know it until I met them, but it turns out that the questions "How are you?" and "How is everything over there?" can be used consecutively in the same conversation.

I don't like to be such a prick, especially when these people are trying so hard to be nice to me. But after reading this post I've come to the realisation that... well, I really don't know. But I'm feeling angry now.

Yeah, perhaps 'ripping off' is too harsh.. I still think Dream Theater isn't exactly a very original band, though, especially for the past two albums.. When I listen to them I feel like I've heard music very similar to that before. But that's just me. =)

Regarding people that are morons: UGH, that's so annoying.

A few days ago my username was "Don't msg me, I won't reply" but idiots still msg me. I needed to tell them directly that I didn't feel like chatting before they left me alone -- only to bug me again the following night. UGGGH.

There you go, I haven't heard Dream Theater's two latest offerings. I've heard various bits and pieces by them and own the albums Metropolis part II and Falling into Infinity, both which are CDs that I rate very highly (especially the former, which is one of the greatest musical efforts I've ever heard).

What gets me is when people message you when your status is set to away, or busy, or whatever. Mind you, I have nothing of interest or value to say about it, but it pisses me off nonetheless.

Oh okay.. For the last two albums they were trying to adapt to a very 'metal' style -- almost "copying" bands like Slayer, Pantera, etc.. There's some quality stuff in both of the albums, though, but that's besides the point ;)

Haha, that's because you're a nice/funny guy.. I'm usually unfriendly; it's mind-boggling why they bug me so much.. sigh.

I agree that some people know in real life can be downright annoying online. Usually, I only feel comfortable talking to those I've known all my life online.

As for Lakers, I thought they were kind of lazy too. They didn't get the ball enough to Kobe, either.. Basically, they just threw the game away. Oh well, that's a good thing.. MWAHAHHAA TAKE THAT JAN. :P

Hahaha I had the same problem as you back when I had AIM. I had all these ppl msg me ONLY saying "hey" and that sort of stuff and after i respond back, the convo is dead. That annoyed me a lot, which is why I deleted AIM from my comp xD I'm thinking abt d/l'ing AIM again and only adding those cool ppl that I know will have an actual chat (and yes moebs, you are one of those cool ppl) :P

Errrrr... B00oo000o the Pistons!!!11 Well, I can't blame them too much. They are just playing great basketball, while the Lakers seem to not really be into the game and seem like they're just going through the motions. Well, if the Pistons win game 4, I think they got a lock on the championship, but I still won't give up on my Lakers dammit!!! xD
