I dont like the winter

I dont hate winter, but I certainly dont like it very much.  And I do hate being cold.  And I'm sick of it.

There are a few saving graces to wintertime:

• a soft, silent snowfall during the daytime.
• sledding and the rush of FUN as you speed down the hillside
• making snow men and snow angels
• Awesomely huge icicles, that look more like stalactites hanging

Dude, your featherbed is the bomb! I love it, too. Snuggly, snuggly, yay!

And omgz, what a scary bug! Ick. I prefer real cicadas! :P

Also, I'm kind of bummed that I don't know where there's a Prairie Farm or Curtis Apple Orchardy place around here. Catelyn would probably love the petting zoo now. I hear there's one at the zoo, but I'm cheap and don't want to pay.

i also think the feather bed is the bomb. when i have to get up in the middle of the night with Cal, i dont have to rewarm the covers when i climb back in - they retain the heat and warm ME back up - like an oven. its awesome. Only downside is i dont want to get up in the morning, but i'm not sure that has much to do with the featherbed...

the cicada killer wasp was horrifying. they eat cicadas, but they are big enough that they look like they eat people. absolutely terrifying. i ran, screaming, into the house, and then people teased me about it later that it had "come back to get me". AHHH!

the library is another great free place for kids - and you dont have to wait for summer for that!

there are many more reasons to hate winter:
1. brrrrr
2. seasonal affective disorder!
3. dreary cold rains like today - YUCKO
4. having to get bundled up for a five minute trip in the car.
5. the extra time it takes to scrape my car in the morning after an icy snow.
6. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
