It looked as if he was high or drunk but still driving down the bay area. It was not the right road where he should use to get home. It was not the way home. Then sure he was drunk.
Comment: Yes. I’m reposting this. First, because I realized there were mistakes and bad grammar (though I know there are still bad grammars and ugly sentences) and second because nobody wanted to read it XDD
(chapter 1) __________________________________________________________________________
Uruha was still in Aoi’s apartment, waiting for him and Kai to come home. He did not even go anywhere. Only ate whatever he found in the refrigerator, playeed with Aoi’s guitar, watched TV and looked at the scenery outside the window. Late evening, Reita and Ruki arrived. Uruha ran to the door excitedly to greet them when he thought it was Aoi and Kai. As he opened the door, his face changed. Blushed. Because he thought it was embarrassing to get over excited to see Reita and Ruki standing in front of the door looking at his excited face. But he invited them in like he owned the place.
“You’re alone? Where are Kai and Aoi?” Ruki asked. He took a seat on Aoi’s warm black fake-leather couch. Reita sat next to him.
“I don’t know. They went out for groceries but haven’t come back ‘til now.” Uruha replied. He sat on the other couch.
“Any plan on tomorrow? Party or anything?” Reita asked.
“No. Party? For what?”
“Isn’t tomorrow is your birthday?”
“Is it?” he asked looking so curious. Then that’s why I’m here probably. They want to surprise me. He wondered. “I almost forgot about it!” he rubbed the back of his neck laughing, replying to Reita.
“We should throw a party then.”
“Here?” Ruki asked shaking his head. “We’re not going to throw party at Aoi’s apartment without his permission. What if he gets angry?”
“Who cares if he’s angry? It’s our best friend’s birthday! Why would he get angry?” Reita muttered disagree with Ruki.
“You’re the only person who gets scared by his anger,” Uruha chuckled insinuating him.
“Don’t blame it on me. He’s the one to blame. Get angry easily. That stupid lion!” he complained.
“HEY!!”
“Hey what?”
“Don’t talk bad about him.”
“It’s my mouth speaking. Not me!”
“You’re so bad!”
“I’m not!”
“You stupid! Why are you here if you don’t like him?”
“I didn’t say that! You said that! I said he’s scary!”
“Hey! Does it really that important to fight about that?” Reita shouted stopping the two others. He made them sat in silent for a moment.
“You love him. Why don’t you just say so?” Ruki mumbled.
“It’s no-“
“You like Aoi? Eh? I meant...love? Really?” Reita asked to Uruha. He looked shock when Ruki mumbled about it. Quickly he got up and sat next to Uruha putting his left hand around his shoulder. Uruha didn’t reply him. Uruha bent his head. “Uruha...”
“I told you not to tell anyone! Not yet!” he shouted to Ruki.
“He isn’t here. Who cares? You should have told that to him,” Ruki muttered.
“SHUT UP!” Reita shouted.
“YOU SHUT UP!” Ruki shouted back to him.
“It’s okay,” Uruha smiled to them.
Slowly, Reita’s left hand slide down. He had nothing to say.

“Why would you buy a new guitar? You bought one last week.” Kai followed Aoi who was entering the music store.
“Just because I feel like I want a new one. Just one more,” Aoi smiled.
“Hi, good evening!” the store owner greet them. He was around 30-years-old but already own a big guitar store.
“Looking for a new guitar Aoi-san?” he asked. He knew him well since Aoi went to the store often whenever he wanted to buy a guitar,
“Is there any new guitar, Kyo-san?” Aoi asked. His eyes ran wild looking at each guitar hung inside the store.
“Electric?”
“Acoustic. Give me the best one. This time no matter how much it costs because I got loads in my pocket,” he bragged and laughed. They laughed. At the same time his cell phone buzzed. It was an e-mail from Reita. Be home now. I’m at your apartment with Ruki to discuss about a party tomorrow. “Sorry.” Aoi smiled. “Ah. Kai. They are at my apartment now. Ruki and Reita. But what party are we going to have tomorrow?”
“What is the reason you want to bake muffins so suddenly?” Kai replied giving him a clue with the question.
“Someone I love,” he smiled. “Birthday tomorrow,” he giggled. The shop owner smiled as he heard the news.
“Uruha?”
“What’s with him?”
“You totally forgot!” Kai laughed. “Tomorrow is June ninth. It’s Uruha’s birthday.”
“I almost forgot!” he slapped his own forehead and laugh. It was a lie. He totally forgot it.
“You’re kidding!”
“Yeah!” he laughed. “I thought you didn’t realize that. You never mention about it today.”
“This one is the latest we got. Just arrive last few days,” Kyo handed him a blue acoustic guitar. “Try it first. I tried this one earlier and this supposed to be the best one among all the new guitars. But I’m not sure if you’ll feel the same way.”
Aoi took the blue acoustic guitar and strummed it for a few times then he started playing some part of ‘Cassis’. “I like it!”

As Kai stepped into Aoi’s apartment, he walked straight to the kitchen. Aoi went to the hall first with his new guitar. Smiling he took it out of the guitar case. Uruha and Reita were there. Ruki was in the kitchen.
“A new guitar?” Reita asked.
“No. An old one!” Aoi giggled. “NEW ONE!” he shouted and started strumming it.
“You bought one last week,” Uruha went sat next to him. “And this one, it’s...blue?”
“Yeah! Blue. But it sounds good!”
“Can I try it?” He grinned. Aoi nodded and handed it to him smiling. Reita looked at them for a moment and decided to leave Uruha with Aoi alone. Just to give some space for Uruha to be alone with him. He left them and walked to the kitchen.
Uruha stopped strumming as he realized Reita was no longer with them since moment ago. He looked at Aoi’s calm face.
“What?” Aoi asked.
“Nothing,” his voice was very low this time. His heart beat faster.
“It sounds good. Doesn’t it?” he took back the guitar. Uruha didn’t answer him. Just nodding his head.
“I actually have something to tell you,” He grinned. “If you don’t mind,” his face turned red. He could felt the blood running through his vein and suddenly he felt nervous.
“Just go on. I won’t mind. I’m in my good mood,” he nodded.
“I- uh-actually- I-” his face turned even redder.
“Aoi! You said you wanted to learn how to bake! Are you going to let me do this entire thing?” Kai shouted from the kitchen interrupting their conversation. Aoi turned his head to see him. The kitchen was so near to the hall.
“I’m coming!” he walked to the kitchen leaving Uruha alone in the hall.
Uruha mumbling on his own, “Can’t he wait until I tell him?” He punched the couch.

“Put some more chocolate,” Aoi ordered to Kai, peeking at him while he was pouring the chocolate into the bowl contained the mixed of flour and sugar.
“No way! It would be bitter,” Kai shook his head smiling.
“Make it sweet,” Aoi replied laughing. “Should we bake for Uru?”
“You’re not baking this for him?” Ruki interjected.
“No it’s not!”
“Then who are you putting your burden for?”
“It’s not burden! I wanted to do this on my own,” Aoi yelled rolling his eyes. He got angry then. Ruki did not reply but Kai laughed at him. So was Reita. They made Ruki pouting his lips when they laughed to tears.

The night came. Almost midnight. Aoi had dressed up properly like he was going out to somewhere. He walked through the hall. He was in all black suits, black jeans, and black jacket, but grey shirt. Uruha locked his eyes to Aoi’s walking figure. “Going somewhere?” he asked.
“Uhm- yeah,” Aoi replied smiling but not to him. He grabbed the white paper bag he put on the table earlier.
“Can I follow?” his question made the others stared at him. They were going to spend the night at the apartment as Aoi gave them permission to throw a party for Uruha on the next day. Uruha really wished he could follow him that night. No matter where ever he wanted to go. He wanted to stalk him.
Aoi looked shock by the question. But he replied him with a ‘no’. But the answer made Uruha decided to follow him without his permission. He walked about 10 meters far from Aoi. He kept following him in a long distance until Aoi stopped at an apartment nearby. He peeked from behind the nearest building’s wall. Aoi was smiling standing in front of the apartment.
A moment later, a girl came out to see him. She had a black wavy hair, not so tan skin and a few inches shorter than Aoi. Her black sweater made her look even smaller. She was smiling while having conversation with Aoi. Aoi handed her the paper bag he brought to the girl. Her hand was reaching for something from inside of the bag.
“It wasn’t for me.” Uruha mumbled to himself with a little disappointment. It was the muffins Aoi baked on himself. Jealousy made him stepped forward. One step. He stopped. He could read Aoi’s lips. “I love you”. And he made more steps forwards later. More and more steps until he did not realized he had stopped walking watching their kissing scene.
A loud scratch of brake could be heard. A car was coming nearer. But the concentration was locked to the scene across the hallways. Uruha could not hear anything. Everybody was stoned by the sound. Realizing it was Uruha standing on the road; Aoi ran to save him and pulled him back to the roadside. Instead of seeing his best friend got hit by the car, Aoi was forced to choose to let himself flooded by blood. The red liquid covered almost all his body part. He tried to open his eyes but the pain was much stronger than his desire.

It was not a party after all on the ninth June. Aoi was sent to the emergency ward that night. He was in coma but he was never alone. Ruki, Kai and Reita had take turn to look after him at the hospital. The girl he kissed that night was facing trauma. She was placed in another ward. Uruha had never left the hospital. Not even for a second. Every time Ruki came; he would bring a pair of clothes for Uruha to change. It happened only for a week. The eighth day, Aoi was not in the hospital anymore. Only his dead body.
Walking back to Aoi’s apartment alone, Uruha kept mumbling to himself, regretting every single thing he had done. He thought he was the reason of Aoi’s death. But he was glad that he was always beside him while he was in coma although it was hurt to think back about it.
As he arrived at the apartment Aoi had left he looked up to the top of it. It was the first time he realized it was so tall. Slowly he made steps into the building, got into the only place he could smile every time he stepped in. But not anymore. The surrounding was different. It was gloomy. He could feel the emptiness of each room.
It was Aoi’s bedroom he finally entered. The guitar he bought was still there, lied on the bed left untouched. Uruha let go of his deep breath. He sat on the bed and sighed again. His eyes were locked to the guitar. He was not really into the guitar but he was into the note stick to the guitar he saw. By just looking at the handwriting, he knew it was written by Aoi.
Happy birthday, Uruha. It made him almost burst into tears. He knew it was the last thing he could ever get from Aoi. Nothing more. He closed his eyes. It was too painful. “I’m sorry,” he cried.
