RNG??

On a serious note, I've been curious what your RNG is up to. I know that you've been having a great time with NIN and WAR and I know that the RNG nerf really did hurt some of the appeal of the job. I'm sure you haven't retired it, but would you still consider it your main job?

I've used it most often for sky runs and the KB BC99 stuff, but nothing major.. I can't really use it for much other than that. For Limbus and sometimes Dynamis it's always better to have a DD that can also offer TH and rather than having the mob chase you when you pull hate you can TA it onto tanks, then for the CoP Wyrms RNG is just gimped beyond belief on those (no matter how good you are you're not going to be a good DD as a RNG on the Wyrms compaired to others), and then any other RNG knows how bad Fafnir/Nidhogg can be... And in a nutshell those are all of the LS events that we do.

So, mostly I'm RNG primarily for sky runs.

My main job now is probably more like NIN at this point, I'm on it more than any other job. There's only one other NIN that has HNM equipment and experience with tanking them, so if he's not online then I'm the NIN. And even when he is online, for things like CoP wyrms we always have more than one tank.. So even then I'm NIN.

Offtopic...but I see your ninjas using Yasha samue for tanking. HQ? I usually just use gi+1 and earth staff, I see the ninjas with ice staff too.

I just use Yasha as part of my enmity gear, and I wear enmity like 90% of the time while tanking. I always try to have it on for provoke, and sometimes for activating job traits, debuffing, etc. It's NQ, I don't even think any HQ exist on my server yet?.. If there is then it's probably like one total, and way overpriced.

I don't wear enmity gear for when I take damage though, I don't really have a choice either. I equip Toraeder's Cape as part of my enmity set, so if I tanked in that gear I'd get criticalled almost every hit.

Personally I'm not a fan of HQ arhats for tanking gear either, I've had just as good if not better results with defense/VIT/HP gear for if I know I'll take physical damage as opposed to -%phyiscal damage taken. I have old screen shots of it, showing me tank faust and taking under 100 damage in older posts, and taking pretty low damage from other mobs as well.

HQ ice staff is great for landing Paralyze, I also have Terra's for slow and Dark for Blind.
