mission : 2012

In a previous post I mentioned merging a sort of mission101 list with a New Year's resolution. What emerged were several respectable resolutions that are reasonable. I'll update my progress on these resolutions every month and might change each resolution as necessary, but only when I meet a resolution and push it further.

You sound a lot like me. I had a 1001 goals in 101 days list but that all changed when I moved in with my boyfriend. Your goals, however, sound in line with mine--albeit a bit more ambitious.

Yeah, I just can't imagine making 101 mission goals for a period that lasts over a year. Life changes and I can't make that kind of preparation, When I did mission101, I didn't even fill in all the mission goals. Birds of a feather!

Take for example, this post.

And I'm also trying to cook more. I love my crock pot.

I love that list of yours. I'm all for donating a bundle of my books once I finish them. Someone else is tempting me to go hiking, and man, one day I'd love to be able to run. Do you log your food intake currently?

I have never used a crock pot!

There's a couch to 5k program you can look up online. And there's got to be an lj community for that--it's quite popular.

I'm logging my food again, yes. It's a fun site. Sign up for it and add me: mxtine
It's similar to facebook in that there's a newsfeed and a wall and it keeps you up to date with how your friends are doing.

Crock pots are amazing. You throw in all your ingredients at once and you're done! Granted, you ahve to wait like 6 or some hours, but the flavor is worth it.

I'd heard about it before, but today was the first time I really looked at it. It seems very manageable. I'd probably be huffing and puffing, but in a good way. I'll definitely look into it and might even try a few minutes of jogging on the treadmill to see what happens.

That site is beyond awesome. I've been logging my food into a journal to bring to my trainer after being terrible at logging my food. It's great for me when my exercise routines and food intake cycles are always so similar so it's just a few clicks. I joined as rugbybaby and shall add you now! I see you there with those crab legs.

I am looking forward to using it! Especially since I didn't need go to out and buy a whole new one.

Thank you very much!

I haven't attempted resolutions in some time, but recently I've gotten a little better at not falling off the bandwagon. (That and I met my unofficial goals from last year, so these seem attainable.) I see you there with your photo-a=day goal.

Photo a day makes me NUTS sometimes, but I am glad I do it in the end...

I made it to 300 photos and then I missed a day :( I cried. But then I kept taking photos, and I have missed many more days but ...

Overall I think it was worth it. Even 300 in a row is a lot, and I am much more likely to stop and take a photo of something now than I used to be.

I really like your goals! especially the cooking a new dish every month! that sounds fun. I have to check out that daily excercise community. I have a gym membership I dont use enough!

Thank you! I'm already creating a list of stuff to make this month and it gets me all excited. However, that's also because school hasn't yet started. I just found a fairly complicated one I want to try.

The comm is pretty cool. I can't understand half of what people say there. But it's an excellent place to be like "HAHA here is what I did this week, SNAP" even to yourself.

I didn't use my gym membership for at least two years. They are unfortunately easy in terms of gathering dust.

Wow, these sound like such great, reasonable, and feel-good goals! Looks like ours are very similar. It's no wonder we get along so well! :) I wish you the best of luck in achieving these goals. I know you'll do great and succeed in 2012!
