Oh... Boy.

I miss the gray days and rain. We don't get many of them in L.A. Looks like spring's more or less here, in fits and starts. I've been feeling restless lately. I miss the times when cutting or coloring my hair would take the edge off. Besides, there's something of a trend for young women shaving a side of one's head ( Read more... )

I'm happy for your friend!

Your workplace is ridic -.-'
I don't understand how people can be chronically late :x

Hope the headphones work :X

What bcp were you using? I know it takes some experimenting for some people to find something that works for them without bs side effects :(

I think you'd like her. She's nerdy and kind, like most of my friends. :)

Loestrin Fe. It was supposed to help me with my heavy periods, since it's supposed to give you a 3-day/lighter one, but I had 4 days with no spotting at all and my period went on for 2 heavy weeks before that. Then my regularly-scheduled one started and I'm still going. Horrid. Oh, and achy, swollen boobs and bloating. I gained at least 5 pounds right off the bat.

I've tried a bunch of different ones over the years, with the progestin-only minipill giving me the fewest problems. Migraines and estrogen don't do well together, so the newest low-dose combination pills are supposed to be okay, but I didn't find this to be the case.

I like nerdy and kind :D

Ohhh, hrm. That sounds pretty miserable (and you have sucktastic periods anyways right? :<)
When I was using bc I used the nuvaring, stacked them a few times as well... but i don't remember if it has estrogen in it as well.
Before that, I think I was using Tricyclen-lo? I didn't have problems with either that I could tell, but I don't particularly seem to be succeptible to side effects of stuff and your mileage definitely seems to vary :X

Hope you find something that works! ack :

Surprisingly, I've always had heavy periods (i took bc back in like 5th grade for a few months to even them out/make em regular) but even with bc they got worse for a while, then lessened out to something more manageable, and once i stopped taking anything they lightened up to something crazy light forme
...but this month i had a gross heavy one again(i swear my ovaries were going to pop out my sides), perhaps due to stress?

wonder if stress is having anything to do with your adverse reaction too? :X
