What a wonderful read! I especially loved Ace, as well as how you continue to blend his recent past with what is new.

I absolutely adore this. Such an amazing short story here. You have this wonderful talent that you share with us...gah. RTD would be lucky to have you.

I love the companions you wrote for. All were characters I don't regularly see you write, and yet you captured their essences and chacterisations perfectly. Some writers would have taken the opportunity to write Rose here, but you went with Jackie, someone he didn't regularly see, who had total right to dislike him. And the Dancing with the Stars bit. For my own brain, I pictured her watching that other show (that's like Dancing with the Stars, but on ice) that John Barrowman was on a few years ago. Hehe ( ... )
