Lucy sucked in a deep lungful of air, then exhaled it carefully, before looking up at the Doctor. And then she almost laughed at the expression on his face. Of course it had been an awkward moment, but she wasn't going to blush about it.

"I'm fine," she replied, lifting a hand to gingerly touch the back of her head just to make sure that was true. Her fingers didn't come away bloody, so she took that to mean it was. Hopefully this excursion would include any running for at least half an Earth hour.

Pulling herself to her feet, Lucy quickly patted herself down to make sure her own coat and scarf hadn't gone too askew, blinked to clear away the whiplash from the Doctor's mood change--it had never seemed so hard to deal with when it was Harry--and set her shoulders. She'd let him step outside first.

The Doctor took her silence as an affirmation, and pulled open the door. A blast of icy cold hit him as he did, along with a burst of wet snow. The snow, however, was an iridescent blue, and the sky was a mellow pink. Huge ice spires jutted out from the blue landscape, their crystals reflecting the snow and sun to create a soft, fuchsia glow over the world. It was very pretty, if a bit jarring after the snow in London.

"Here we are, then," the Doctor said, hopping into the plush snow. It was freezing, and went up to about mid-calf. He immediately cursed himself for not throwing on a pair of boots, first.
