This is a lovely companion to the comic. You convey his pained objectivity very well. I thought the part about Donna's hairstyle was a particularly great touch- not too sentimental but real, and of course, a bittersweet juxtaposition of how he remembers those little things and Donna's fate. Thanks for writing it. I very much enjoyed it.
