Oh, I love this! I love the Doctor/Master dynamic so much, and you did a fantastic job. I love the repetition of feeling nothing, the way the Doctor/Master relationship is tracked with Gallifrey and Theta/Koschei lingering in between. I actually got teary towards the end. So good.

Thank you so much! Their dynamic is so complicated and so difficult to portray. I swear I've spent the last week working on and off of this fic.

One of the best stories about these two, in their various incarnations, that I've ever read.

It's superb. I love how you write dreams - this mix between symbols, real life and absurdity. And the changes of dynamics between the incarnations, without breaking the unity of the fic at all... I love it.

This is just amazing. Love how you manage to unravel everything they share, and yet highlight the gulf between them. Beautiful.

selenak"'s rec of this story did say it wasn't at all shippy, but I'm perhaps a bit incapable of reading your excellent genfic in an entirely platonic light. :p Regardless of authorial intent on that point, I love the span and the depth of detail, the decisive character insights (brave/sane/feeling/unconquerable apathy), and the flow generally. A pleasure to read.
