Rose *is* the difference between Nine and Ten, I think. Or a lot of it.

Loved this, selfishly, because you mention a lot of what I saw in Nine that I'm trying to keep in my Ten, since he didn't have Rose. The walking wounded, touchy Doctor.

Rose is one of the main differences, I think. She made Nine into Ten, if you ask me.

I just found this story randomly (ooh, really, really randomly!) and I'm glad I stopped in and read it, because it's lovely. It's well written, and the characterisation is spot on. (Next time the old "2nd person POV is always horrible" sentiment comes up, I'm going to try and remember to link them to this piece as evidence that on occasion it can work very well indeed!)
