Kitty is very touched that the Doctor would get her mittens and a hat. She hasn't gotten such a gift like that since her father gave her a pair, with a hat, a skating outfit, and matching skates for Chanuakah, but that was the year that her life went topsy turvy again and she got in trouble with the Yakuza and they tore apart her outfit. And then Ogun deaged her, aged her back, and programmed her to be a teenage assassin! What a December that was!

Despite Jack's complaints of seeing nothing wrong with his current coat, I personally am amused by the new job comment and both of us are thankful for a wish for memory restoration. :D
