I loved the first part of this story, and this part I loved as well. Just like last time when the reveal of who exactly he was saving came, I was still caught off guard. The tension and the countdown and everything, amazing and terrifying, and the ending I loved. Your portrayal of the year that never was always leaves me with this feeling I can't describe, but you portray the horror of it so well.
