This is just lovely, and bittersweet and so Joan. So many things in here I loved. Too many to name here. I think I already told you most of them. You captured Joan so well. She is a special character for me, and this goes into my own personal canon for her.

Oh, that means so much to me! I loved Joan dearly, but I didn't know if I could capture her voice. I'm so glad you liked it! <3<3

This fic is beyond beautiful. I love how you wove so man different/similar experiences together. Reinette feels for Joan.

See, that's where it all started. I thought Reinette might relate to Joan, and then I wanted them to have a talk, and next thing you know THIS was created.

She absolutely does relate to her. And I love that you gave her that drive to become a doctor at the end. I loved how forward she was in the book, teaching at a boys school in that era. Even manipulating her way into that position. I missed that side of her.

HUGS!!

That was simply... well, beautiful and wonderful are the only words that keep coming to mind. It left that bit of heartache that anyone as the reader would feel. And Romana's short part with Joan was just amazing.

Thank you so much. I always imagined Romana as the one who got away, but she's got reasons for being that one.

<3<3 I'm so glad you like it!

This was quite, quite beautiful. The fact that she clearly lived - studying to be a doctor, taking trips with her family - contrasted nicely with the conversations she had with Reinette, Cameca and Romana.

(Plus the little details - Ian! - made me smile.)
