I liked that people kept knocking stuff over in the background. Like "DON'T GET TOO COZY IN THERE WITH MY DAUGHTER OR I WILL COME IN THERE AND BUTCHER YOU, WEIRDO BOY".
Hehehhehee! I'm glad you did. Reminds me of my dad when my first boyfriend came over to study. Suddenly there were things to be hammered an shouted across the house.
"DID YOU CLEAN OUT THE SHOTGUN EARLIER, HUNNY? MAKE SURE THE SHOVEL IS OVER BY THE DOOR IN CASE WE NEED TO USE IT!"
Oh my gosh. My uncle actually did that to my cousin. Her room was in the basement next to her dad's workroom, so every ten minutes he'd go down there to "get something", and that something was always, mysteriously, a very large woodcarving tool or a baseball bat or a hunting knife or something like that.
She was like fourteen and didn't understand why I was cracking up when she was telling me all this, naturally. XD
On my second viewing I decided I absolutely had to write it up, because the idea of the Doctor saying "It'll never work out" just made me laugh out loud.
That means a lot to me. I think that secondary characters can be more important than main characters at times because they make the main characters' actions come to life. <3<3 I'm so so glad you think I write them well!
I loved this. When he said that in the episode I was way too curious about what went on in that little allusion -- this is definitely satisfying. Great job.

I am constantly amazed by the way you can take these characters like Sybil and that cashier who got shot in and in just a few lines make them so real.

You know, that means it's YOUR turn to write the "Yes, but he called her 'Cleo'" throwaway line! =PPPP
