Can I just say, I absolutely love how you write the Doctor in romantic situations. The conflicted nature of his sexuality, whether or not he has one, whether or not he should indulge in it if he does. I love how you've made his asexual tendencies a personal choice, made it a point that he can engage in romance, but it's not entirely natural for him and for the most part, he chooses not to.
I remember reading something of yours, in which you said you'd always wanted to write Doctor/Jack but were afraid you wouldn't do it right. You've nailed it. This was a brilliant scene, perfectly depicted their relationship. Once again, you really are amazing :D
I've always found the Doctor's romantic relationships to be fascinating because they're always so rare. I actually sat in on a sexuality panel with Paul Cornell, and there was a lot of discussion on the Doctor's relationships with people. It was way interesting. The panel is the one that suggested that the Doctor and Jack are the same in sexuality, but very different in libidos.
I'm SO glad. I was very nervous writing it and even more nervous posting it!
Good take on Doctor/Jack. I'm glad Jack finally got an apology from Ten. I noticed a few things however:
since a few days after they left 1942. Of course, <-- wasn't it 1941?
He stands with the strength of a men <-- a man
What fear what really made him pull the lever <-- take out the second 'what' in the sentence
And…I'm sorry." An apology. It had been a while since he'd managed one of those. Funny, how letting that out released a tension in his shoulders he didn't realize he had. <-- Considering how often he says "I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry." in canon, maybe throw in, 'An apology. A genuine apology. It had been a while' to show that he means it more than usual.
Jack Harkness. Con man and Casanova-in-training. <-- LOL! I think after living so long, the training is over. I also flashed for a second on David Tennant as Casanova.

Wow, that's like directly from the Gender & Sexuality in Doctor Who panel! Awesome.
I do think Jack loves The Doctor on some level, though I don't really ship them to this degree. I liked the part about the glasses.
