for fandom_muses: How do you handle anger?

He is not an angry person.

Not in general.

Not if he can help it.

He thinks of anger as a problem, as a part of his personality he can push away to make room for better emotions. He can feel anger, he wouldn't want to make it go away, but he knows that letting it control him would make him less than who he is ( Read more... )

Can you hear the drums?

I got chills down my spine reading that, remembering the episodes and Ten's rage. So very, very, frightening because of who he is and what he can do. And the connection with the Master...and what he became. *shudders again*

Whoa. That was scary. The Doctor really freaked me out in that episode, and this brought it all back again -- and that familiar drumbeat at the end, sldkjfs;d. Great job.

I'm feeling a bit turned on right now, let me tell you.

This was absolutely amazing. Like, words can't possibly describe how brilliant this was. I loved the personification of his anger, "His anger is a living thing running underneath his skin." and every mention you made of the beating of his hearts, how the drum-like beating underscored the entire piece. You really showed the complete and utter rage he had at the end of that episode, it was terrifying.

Another thing (I know this is long, but I could probably go on for hours about this one if you let me) I loved the emphasis you had on specific words, like feel, loves, electrified, hurt, never ever, craves, and the final emphasis on the heartbeats, the Ba-bump ba-bump. Ba-bump ba-bump. For some reason, it made it even more frightening, and you could really, really feel his anger by the end of it.

I agree with imatwat, chills. This was absolutely brilliant.
