Divination Class List, Spring 2009

Vash's Divinations class is for years 3-7, whichever Houses he has at the moment, as well as any first or second year with permission to do a Divinations project or review in conjunction with another class.

DIVINATION SYLLABUS

First and second years:
Need previous experience in the subject. Will not take a regular Divination class, but may pick Vash's brain if studying it on your own.

Third years:
Textbook: Unfogging the Future by Cassandra Vablatsky
Beginning Divination: tea leaves, palmistry, crystal balls.

Fourth years:
Textbook: Unfogging the Future by Cassandra Vablatsky (from previous year)
I Know What You Did Next Summer by Nobilius Swett: Chapters 1-10
Astrology; horoscopes (some crossover with Astronomy and Arithmancy for the more mathematically-inclined).

Fifth years:
Textbook: I Know What You Did Next Summer by Nobilius Swett, Chapters 11-16
Dream interpretation; dream diary; oracles and omens.
OWL exams at end of year; those who pass may continue with the class.

Sixth years:
Textbook: I Know What You Did Next Summer by Nobilius Swett, Chapters 17-25
Tarot; cartomancy; profiles, stereotypes, human influences on methods of divination.

Seventh years:
Textbook: I Know What You Did Next Summer by Nobilius Swett, Chapters 26-30
Seer predictions; luck v. probability; history of Divination; influencing the future.
NEWTs exams at end of year; those who pass get a graduating degree in the subject.
