Why would someone put out his family tree on a website geared towards making you discover other relatives and ancestors, of course not set his tree to private, and then be upset when he is contacted by a relative who wants to share other cousins and common ancestors?

I have NO IDEA what happened to the family tree I dowloaded on Geni while I was away... the Yitzhak "Ari" Luria/Yosef Caro/link from them to Baal Shem Tov genealogy is messed up and confused beyond repair. If you are interested, ask me and I'll send you the PAF.

I have met a man online, he's a Chatam sofer einikel and his wife is a Soloveichik einikel. Their only daughter, born when she was already more than 40, has a non tznius (think strappy top, except without the straps) pic on Facebook. It must be a tragedy for them.
Interestingly, the mother is also an only child.

According to Geni, respectively on my and husband's side, the people who lived longer recently (kinda) are:

Leib Klapholz - 100 years (1817-1917)
Lucia Bedarida - 105 years (1900-2006)

Ok, you probaby ignore it, but I have always been fascinated by Laura Ingalls' family/family tree/in laws family, etc.

Did you ever notice that, of the three Ingalls siblings that got married, no one married a spouse with a smaller age gap than 10 year? and no one managed to have (enough) children? one was childless, one had a nasty very late ( Read more... )
