Yiddish in Cheder!

 In a place where more chassidim speak Judeo-Arabic than Yiddish and where frum Ashkenazim are what, 5/10% of the frum? THIS is adorable for us but pushing the envelop!

But what does it say?

I can read the bit that says 'dear parents, please can you read this with your child' - what's the rest? It looks like Hebrew - how can I tell it's Yiddish? Are some of those letters not Hebrew at all?

The Roman letters are French.

The Hebrew letters form Yiddish words. You can tell because it makes non sense in Hebrew. Most Jewish languages (Yiddish, Ladino, Judeo Italian, Judeo Arabic...) are traditionally written in Hebrew letters.
